Our web design process starts with a conversion, either by email or phone.
We will discuss your enterprise and your website goals. What is your design preferences and what functions are required on your new site.
We will also outline the 3 essential items we require to proceed ie. a domain name, hosting for the new site and a logo + a visual style guide.
The visual style guide will define the fonts used, primary and secondary colours, use of logo etc.
We strongly recommend to have a style guide professionally developed … this will not only be useful for the website but will aid in developing all your promotional materials with a consistent “look and feel” as recommended by all professional marketers.

The first three pages of your website are the most important. After receiving your order we will develop a Home Page (about you), a Services Page (what you do) and a Contact Page.
By doing just 3 pages we can focus on delivering a design that will turn browsers into buyers! On these 3 pages we can showcase a wide range of design elements and then allow you to choose element styles. We will develop a look and feel for the site that is consistent with your current branding and will enhance your marketing efforts.
Before building the site we will complete site keyword research. We will identify up to 10 primary keywords plus a list of long tail keywords. It is important to do this first as these words will be used consistently on the back end (image titles, alt tags, meta tags, element names etc) during site construction. This step is important to the site’s long term Search Engine Optimisation and is often missed by web designers.
We build our websites with WordPress. WordPress sites offer an amazing degree of flexibility, fuctions and design options. They are great for SEO and if managed well are very secure. Our years of experience working with WordPress means we are able to choose the themes and plugins that best suite the application. We have subscriptions for many premium themes and plugins we can use on our sites at no extra cost to our clients!
We use a range of tools to enhance the performance of all of our websites. These include caching plugins to improve page load times, anti-spam tools to ensure your contact forms and emails are spam free and tools to prevent malware and other threats. We will also produce a sitemap file and submit it to google – the plugin ( software) we use for this will also notify Google every time a web page is updated – further helping the site’s SEO.
After we have finalised the design for desktops we will then ensure every page looks good on all devices and browsers. It is common for small changes to be needed and our WordPress platform allows us to easily adjust element sizes to look good on any device.
For some small business startups and personal sites the 3 pages might be sufficient. For others the 3 pages will provide a rock solid foundation to develop. WordPress makes it possible to add to the site yourself or we will be happy to assist. see below
